Gluten and Dairy Free Products that I can Tolerate
I titled my post in this fashion because not everyone can handle the same amounts of an allergen. Even though I am very allergic to dairy, I can tolerate trace amounts. However, trace amounts of gluten make me terribly sick. I find this ironic because my dairy allergy can actually kill me. For instance, if my food touches a slice of cheese, I can take it off and not suffer any consequences. If bread containing gluten touches my meat and I try to just remove the bread and continue to eat the meat, I will be in big trouble. I am explaining this because no two people react in the same manner. All of the things that I post on this site are foods that work well for me. You will notice quite often that I may post a product that is manufactured in a facility that produces milk or may contain trace amounts of milk, but the majority of the gluten free products that I post are from dedicated facilities. Every once in a while there may be a product that is not, but I will only post it if I have not had a reaction to it. Remember to each his or her own. Always read labels and eat the foods that you are most comfortable with.
