Lately I have been seeing sweet potato burger recipes all over the net. Many of them are not gluten or dairy free, so when I spied a beautiful picture of a gluten and dairy free version in my first Living Without magazine purchase, I had to try it. The burger is gluten, dairy, and egg free! It was different but very tasty. My husband was not as big of a fan of it as I was, but I think that is because I tend to gravitate towards more unique dishes than he does. I placed mine on some Udi's gluten and dairy free whole grain hamburger buns. The buns happen to be quite delicious! As always, have a fabulous gluten and or dairy free day!
While a gluten-free lifestyle is a choice for some, and unavoidable for others, it also comes with some drawbacks. Avoiding gluten can lead to vitamin and iron deficiencies, since these supplements are often added to wheat products. Anyone following this diet would probably benefit from taking daily multivitamins.
